Your business is on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, & maybe even Snapchat, so why would you need a website? Read on to see the answers to why your business needs a website.
Most small businesses always want to know how best to market themselves, but due to lack of funding they usually put the website on the back burner. What they don’t understand is that marketing is the main method of business growth and a website is a great way to accomplish that. Anyone can have a blog because it can be done for free or, if you hire someone to do it, a very nominal fee.
How do businesses brand themselves without a website? It’s a great way to showcase your products and/or services and it’s the only real estate on the internet that you actually own. All of the social media platforms can shut you down in 5 seconds flat and you won’t know what hit you, but as long as you have a website, you’ll stay in business.
Your business may be well known in your city, but if you have a website, you can grow around the world. And, when you start using social media to drive traffic to it, the sky is the limit!
You might not ask your customers or clients for feedback on a regular basis, but with a website, you’ll have instant feedback (I invite you to give me some feedback on this article in the comments section below). Even negative feedback is good because it will help you grow as a company.
Who doesn’t like to do this and I don’t know an easier way to compare products than by opening several websites from the comfort of my own home and buying from the company that gives me the most value for my money (and I’m not only talking about money…I’m talking about the look and feel of the website and whether or not I feel like I can trust the owners). It’s a win-win!
CRM (Customer Relationship Manager)
You can put a form on your website to capture people’s names, emails, phone numbers, and possibly even birthdays if you wish. This will enable you to have a database of all of your customers and prospects and makes following up with them easy.
No More Yellow Pages
With the quickly disappearing phone books and paper sources for any lists, the internet will eventually be the only way people will be able to find your business. People use Google instead of the Yellow Pages now. Having a website and getting your business established now will only help you in the long run.
I hope this article helped you understand why a website for your business is so necessary. If you need help setting your business up for success on the internet, let me know.
