Every day on social media, I see people posting their links to their products in every group they can find where they think people will click on their link. It actually perplexes me when I see that because it’s an instant turn off! If I feel that way, other people must feel that way too. The reason for this is because people don’t buy a drill because they want a drill…they buy a drill because they need a hole.
A better way to generate leads on social media is to offer value to people who need solutions. Who needs to hear what you have to offer? Figure out who your target market is and then find them on Facebook or Instagram or Twitter and connect with them. To find where they hangout on Facebook, for example, do a search in the search bar for keywords in your niche. Mine is Network Marketing/MLM and direct sales, so I would type in “Network Marketing”. Then, pick one of the groups or pages that comes up and Join it if you’re not a member already. Go to the Members list and reach out the ones you resonate with. Send them a private message and pick something that you may have in common from their profile and comment on it.
